In LBOYB we have an excellent safety record and wish to keep it that way!
For those wishing to join LBOYB road rides and /or Trips, we ask members to either:
1. For those who have not ever really ridden on the road: Complete the Path 2 Road Program (when offered. Next session begins October )
2. For those who have ridden on the road: Enroll in an etiquettes session, where they learn the communication, rotations, ways of cycling in a group on the road.
In this Etiquette session, you’ll learn the ways LBOYB members communicate whilst cycling together in a small group of 12, including: the hand signals, verbal signals, elbow signal!, rotations, pairing into doubles, reverting to single file, how to ride together safely and confidently. Being predictable, knowing how to ride in a line, having respect of the group pace etc etc.
Etiquette is something you are all capable of: So, let’s show and confirm you can be LBOYB etiquette, then you’ll have many doors open to you, including weekly weekend rides, leader lead road rides, and trips, that would otherwise be out of your reach eg The Phillip Island trip, the 2 day Around the Bay, Western Australia, Gippsland (road trip).

COST: $25 payable with YES on this event.
